The ancient Kedarnath Temple in the Himalayas, after the horriffic flood in June, 2013.

 The miraculous survival of one of the holiest and most ancient temples of Lord Shiva. The village of Kedar-Nath has been worst hit by the recent floods. The entire village has been wiped out. Miraculously, the sacred temple, one of the most sacred temples of India, has survived the floods. Moreover, over 2,000 pilgrims have taken shelter in it and have been protected from the wrath of mother nature.

As an artist of the European Art Foundation, S.W.Lunau was engaged for the cause of the trans-Atlantic friendship and the dialog of peace-loving people from East Europe. The photo shows Lunau (right) with a diplomat from Moscow, in front of a portrait of the Russian President Vladimir Putin. **** Exhibition "DANTE AND DALI" at Museum of European ART

**** The Year of Jean Cocteau - 2013, by B. John Zavrel

 

President John F. Kennedy was received during his visit in 1963 in Germany first by the German President Heinrich Lübke in Bonn. DThe photo shows the statesmen together with the German Chancellor Konrad Adenauer (center of photo), the US Foreign Secretary Dean Rusk and the German Foreign Minister Gerhard Schröder in front of the Villa Hammerschmidt in Bonn. For Kennedy, at first they were „Germany's Old Men". To them then also belonged the German Minister of Economics and later Chancellor, Ludwig Erhard. But by the time of his return flight home, Kennedy had realized that these Germans belonged to the most dependable and courageous allies of the United States. For our article, see John F.
