The initial work on the establishment of the Sculpture Garden ALEXANDER THE GREAT at the Museum of European Art started on July 19, 2005 with Phase I: the building of a 160 feet long retaining wall and bringing in some 300 cubic yards of landfil for the East and South sides. The Alexander Garden, scheduled to open in 3 years on JULY 19, 2008 will feature sculptures by European and American artists. Photo above: this larger-than-life, marble portrait bust of Alexander the Great will be located in the center of a circle of 16 portrait-busts of prominent personalities of our time who have been inspired by the life-work and ideals of Alexander the Great.
