The Museum of European Art and the European Art Foundation (EKS) in Berlin have selected the painter BINYAMIN SHALUMOV as the 'Artist of the Month.' The artist is being honored in Moscow with an exhibition of more than 150 paintings at the prominent 'Galeria na Salyanke'. The exhibition is jointly sponsored by the Museum of European Art and the National Artists' Union of Russia. The above painting "PERESTROIKA' by Shalumov is now in the collection of the Mayor of Moscow. The Russian-born artist, now living in the United States, turns 70 on June 1, 2005.
