German President Christian Wulff and his young wife received Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands and the Crown Prince Willem Alexander (left) and his wife, Princess Maxima (far right) at the entrance to the German presidential palace Bellevue in Berlin for a 'family photo'. The German President, under attack by the country's largest newspaper Bild Zeitung, continues with his day-to-day work. Unfortunately, the 'First Lady' is not taken seriously in Germany by the normal people, due to a number of reasons. When the German presidential couple kiss and hold hands in the public (like Obama and his wife in the USA), then many Germans find this 'between laughable and embarassing'.
