The Dalai Lama as a young man in Indian exile after escaping the communist China, in April 1959. The photograph was taken in the early sixties at the Dalai Lama's Residence-Garden (an Indian Army Camp in the Himalayas). The first interview with the AP correspondent Joe F. Bodenstein with His Holiness at a time when the future and destiny of the Dalai Lama was absolutely uncertain. What he has made out of his life for Tibetans is just great! For our article in German, see Liselotte Jünger im Alter von 93 Jahren gestorben ...

A bald-headed eagle watches over the grave of Horst Niesters. This noble bird, which was raised by Horst Niesters himself, unexpectedly took off the hand of the falconer during the Hubertus mass, and settled down on the top of the grave monument. The eagle, which is on the coat-of-arms of the United States, remained sitting there until the end of the memorial service. Somewhat lower is the bronze sculpture of a falcon, which was created by the sculptor Kurt Arentz. This sculpture is a part of the grave.
