RECENT EVENTS AT THE MUSEUM 

 

The Clarence painter Mary McAndrew is in charge of organizing the monthly Social Nights at the Museum, aimed to inform the community about what is new at the museum.

The next one will take place on Thursday, December 19, 2002 from 5 to 8 p.m.

It is an exhibition of icons from Bulgaria by Violeta Trajanova. Artists-of-the-month of December 2002 are Geeta Harvey and Lorne Corley (Toronto). Introduction of the artists at 6 p.m.

Winner of November's 'Artwork-of-the-Month' was the drawing "Portrait SALVADOR DALI" by Mary McAndrew.

Come join us for some good wine, cheese, music and meet some interesting people who enjoy fine art and culture.

The Bulgarian painter Violeta Trajanova will show 30 of her icons on wood, inspired by original icons found in the churches in Bulgaria. Recurring themes and Madonna with Child, the Holy Trinity, Mary, Jesus, and representations of various saints of the Church. A rare opportunity to see the artist's first exhibition in America. Opening reception on Thursday December 19, 2002 from 5 - 8 pm.
