The German Cancer Aid enters the new decade under the leadership of Harald zur Hausen, recipient of the 2008 Nobel Prize for Medicine. The scientist took his office on January 1, 2010. His predecessor was for the last 10 years Prof. Dr. Dagmar Schipanski. She guided the organization with great skill, engaging in the effort many co-workers, physicians and medical experts to benefit cancer patients.
