"Take part in art," Salvador Dali said years ago to a young visitor whom he had just met at the St. Regis Sheraton in New York. "It is not enough to admire art and an artist. You must also possess it," Dali said.

And he is right! Art and the possession of art works, these are no longer exclusive privileges of the rich and the upper classes in our society. Original lithographs and etchings that are created in limited editions make it possible for anyone among us to become a collector and lover of art.

Famous collectors J. Paul Getty, Peter Ludwig, Helena Rubinstein, the world-famous Dali collector Reynolds Morse and his wife also were beginners once, with their first graphic, their first sculpture. Art creates joy. In addition to music and literature, primarily it is art works which we can see every day in our surroundings which stimulate and fascinate us.

Art is less a question of money and more a question of taste. Even a student at the university or in school can experience the very happy feeling of buying an art poster or a small graphic with little expense on his part.

Therefore, I can only repeat: take part in art -- now!
