2003 ANNUALREPORT

 

Dear Friends,

 

These are some highlights of2003:

EXHIBITIONS.We had four majorexhibitions: DALI &WINE, AT THE HERMITAGE,MATURE &WILDLIFE, and MIRACLEOF CREATION. We have introduced 36 artists from Western New York,Canada and Europe.

ART ONLOAN. This new programmakes it possible for art lovers to take home on loan a sculpture,painting or lithograph from our collection. Works by Dali, Arentz,Fuchs, Cocteau, Picasso, Chagall and others.

WEBSITE. We continue topublish articles with hard-to-find information about interestingartists of our time. In 2003, our web site actiovity has nearlydoubled from the previous year:we had 1,000,000 (onemillion!!) hitsfrom210,000 visitors from84countries.

GREATBATCHCOLLECTION. We havereceived donations of fine paintings and sculptures from American andEuropean artists, such asSara McMurray-Day(Ireland),RenateStendar (Switzerland),Amos deBarros (USA),GeniaChef (Germany/Russia),Binyamin Shalumov (USA/Russia),AnnaDruzsz (USA/Poland),BirgitSewekow (Germany), andothers.

2004EXHIBITIONS. These arethemes & opening dates:WOMEN, MUSIC &DANCE (January 22),ETERNALLOVE (April 22),MYTHOLOGY &LEGENDS (July 29), andSALVADOR DALI @ 100(October21).

 

Come to our next exhibitionopening, meet our interesting artists and others interested in art.Tell your friends about us and bring them along.At the same time, weinvite you to join us as Friends of theMuseum. Our non-profitart museum dependsENTIRELYon the support of private supporters, and we do need help to be ableto continue.
