Thomas Blumann named curator of the European Art Foundation

 

The art historian Dr. Silke Bettermann from the Beethoven House in Bonn and the curator Thomas Blumann view the bust of Ludwig van Beethoven. The portrait was created by the sculptor Arno Breker (1900-1991), and has never been shown until 2005.

Berlin (bpb) The European Art foundation Berlin has appointed Mr. Thomas Blumann as the curator. The selection into this honorary position took place in the art council, under the leadership of the sculptor Kurt Arentz. Mr. Blumann accepted the position. Professionally, Mr. Blumann has been active in the artistic world in Bonn, Germany. He has been a friend and supporter of European art for many years. Furthermore, he is known as a specialist for virtual presentation of art and art objects in the Internet. "This medium not only opens up new avenues for visual preservation of arts, but also offers possibilities of wide sharing of information with the people of our time."
