For Derck Amerman

By Swami Veda Bharati

Where immortals frolic diving with planet-span fins into the depths of the seas of light,

--there may he sail the boat of his soul.

Where clouds of light serve for sails and the ever vibrant prana is the winds to push the sails,

--there may he sail the boat of his soul.

Where storms are size of ripples and no concealed karma-rocks wreck the horizon-aspiring ships,

--there may he sail the boat of his soul.

Where mermaids shaped from fragrant breaths of gods sing the paeans of initiated minds through the full enlightenment-moons of most tranquil nights of theophanies of all-transcending magnitudes,

--there may he sail the boat of his soul.

Where angels drop their old wings to be graced with fresh new ones, and the old wings then serve for the soul-ships' incredibly beautiful sails,

--there may he sail the boat of his soul.

Where saints abandon their old halos to be endowed with ever new ones, and the old halos, oh so many, are merged to form intense beams of lighthouses to guide the freshly incarnated ships,

--there may he sail the boat of his soul.

Where the pylons of havens and wharves of the countries of divinity-spaces are carved from the melodic woods gathered from song-forests,

Where the sheets are never tied but flutter like wings of liberation birds,

There to, to his home countries of diamond light, may he captain the boat of his soul

In love, in peace, in freedom.

Derck Amerman was a leading member of the Board of Directors of the Meditation Center in Minneapolis for over 25 years. While in the body he was very fond of sailing the Great Lakes and Seas. Now he has sailed away to explore other shores.

The above are Swami Veda's favorite blessings for him.
