KEY TO THE DOORWAY OF ETERNITY:

Yoga-Sutras of Patanjali, Vol. II by Swami Veda Bharati

The ultimate commentary on the 'Yoga Sutras of Patanjali' by Swami Veda Bharati, a disciple of the legendary Swami Rama of the Himalayas.

Swami Veda Bharati's commentary on Patanjali's Yoga-Sutras II is quite possibly the most important book published in the 21st century A.D. What is even more remarkable is that the ideas presented here are the same as those that have been taught within the unbroken lineage of the Himalayan Masters since at least the 21st century B.C.

What is the necessity of this book if the concepts have been known for millennia? It is necessary to read because the average individual has not changed, and people still identify their "I" with their body, their ego, or their mind. Nor has there previously been published such a brilliant work that explains the practical applications of the Yoga-Sutras so clearly from the pen of one who is both a remarkable scholar and high initiate within the tradition.

For the awakening individual who contemplates the perennial mantra 'so-ham' -- "I am That"-- this book is a must read. In order to realize the Self as pure consciousness, it is necessary to still, understand, and control the mind. Swamiji's enlightened commentary enables the spiritual aspirant to recognize the functions, afflictions, and attributes of the mind, the causes of suffering and means of its removal, and the nature of the Self. By contemplating his words, any jiva (individualized soul) will gain the power of discernment between the good and the pleasant, the real and the non-real, the eternal and the ephemeral, and the Self from the non-Self.

To achieve self-mastery and Self-realization, one must know how the mind operates. It must be understood how incorrect knowledge leads to suffering, and how to sunder attachments to matter and become free from the bondage of time, space, and causation.

Meditation is the doorway to eternity, and Swami Veda's commentary is the key.

These writings, based on Swami Veda's lifelong deep meditative practices as well as on his meticulous research in many other commentaries and rare, unpublished ancient manuscripts, are truly even a level above his previous outstanding works. Anyone who takes the time to contemplate these thoughts will greatly benefit. It is unfortunate that such remarkable wisdom may only be read by a lucky few. Please don't leave yourself out.
